REVIEW: PRAI 24K Gold Wrinkle Repair Night Creme

If you have looked in the mirror recently and made a conscious decision to tackle fine lines and wrinkles, this review is for you. With a plethora of anti-ageing skin care products on the market, it is often hard to know where to start – particularly if you have been neglecting the basics. 24K Gold Wrinkle Repair Night Creme is the second product in PRAI’s range that I have tested in recent weeks. From the stable of the cruelty-free brand that is responsible for the UK’s most popular neck cream, this product is both different and surprising – when compared to other premium night creams.

The creme sits in the middle range when it comes to price. It is sold in a 30ml tub and can be used in conjunction with your usual serum. It utilises PRAI’s award-winning peptide formula and includes potent ingredients, including real pure gold, PRAI oil and hyaluronic acid. Advertising states the formula has a ‘whipped’ texture. That may conjure up an image of light, soft cream, but don’t be fooled. This night cream is different. Really different

I purchased the product on a special, limited edition deal with PRAI’s day serum – so good I use it morning and night. Sold individually, the night creme retails at a respectable £34.99. Click image for latest price.

Who Should Use This Night Cream?

I am a firm believer in tackling the signs of ageing before they start. In fact, my passion for anti-ageing products stems from my 30s. Apart from fine lines around the eyes, I’ve escaped most of the ravages of time. That being said, I am a constant ‘seeker’ and innovate when it comes to tailoring my skin care routine. I try not to let myself get into a rut and often experiment with products from both established and emerging brands. Keeping my skin tone an even colour and retaining firmness have been my main goals but, with wrinkles never far off the horizon at my age, I feel a product like this is now a ‘must’ for my bedtime routine.

The fact that it can be used with any serum ticks a box for me. It means PRAI products can be incorporated into an existing regime without the need for further outlay. Good news if you are currently strapped for cash or want to save money to get out and experience ‘life’ again once the pandemic is under control.

Having used the product, I would say it is suitable for women in their mid to late 40s, through to those in their 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. If you are bored with your current night cream or feel it is no longer delivering results, this product is a good contender as a replacement.

PRAI 24K Gold Wrinkle Repair Night Creme is definitely designed for mature skin. Its marketing states it ‘works to activate smoother, firmer, younger-looking skin as you sleep’. As someone in their middle 50s and looking for all of those things, I did not begrudge giving it a try.

Using PRAI 24K Gold Wrinkle Repair Night Creme

The first thing that struck – even surprised – me is that this night cream is unlike any other I’ve tried in the past. For a start, it is not a cream in the traditional sense. It has the consistency and feel of a rich butter. As you would expect from a 24K gold product, it has a rose gold/cream colour – always a good sign, I believe, that it has the ingredients required to make some difference to the skin.

I incorporated this product into my regime after the cleansing, toning and serum part of the routine. Basically, I apply it last before going to bed. A small amount of the creme goes a long way. I take a pea-size helping and let it warm up on my fingers before applying to the face. It has a melting quality that makes it a joy to use. As with the day serum, it has a pleasant, soap-like fragrance.

This night creme is easy to work into the skin. It has a luxurious feel that is not greasy or oily. In the morning, my skin feels firmer and fine lines do appear reduced. I would say that the hydrating effect is not as potent as some other brands – I’ve come to this conclusion using the ‘touch test’ when I wake up. What I’ve really noticed is the improved firmness of my skin. I like it. My face also appears brighter, and I know many other people who have purchased the product say the same.

So far, I have been using this night creme for around 10 days. I estimate, there is enough product in the tub to keep me going for at least two months. So, as well as delivering some desirable results, it will last a long time. That’s value for money in my book.

Final Verdict

PRAI 24K Gold Wrinkle Repair Night Creme is a butter that melts into the skin and provides an overnight firming treatment. It tackles sagging, fine lines, wrinkles and also brightens the skin. It offers value for money and is a good alternative to more expensive premium brands. The product is approved by Cruelty Free International.

I purchase all the products I review and give my full and honest opinion of a product based on performance, price and overall value. Price correct at the time of publishing.

No movement on the Clinique stock front, I am afraid. I’m expecting the situation to start improving next week.

I aim to get ahead with new content for this blog next week because I will be starting radiotherapy the week after. I am scheduled to have 15 sessions, spread over four weeks. It is during this period that I will be reviewing Moogoo Skin Milk Udder Cream and a brand of pure aloe vera gel. I’m hoping they prevent my skin from burning and provide some relief from other common side-effects of this gruelling cancer treatment. What they are not going to tackle is the expected tiredness – so, please bear with me during this period.
