Meet health-conscious beauty brand owner and skincare specialist Inês Abdalla, founder of Inês Cosmetics and InêSKN.
Inês Abdalla is a 37-year-old entrepreneur whose outlook on life has been shaped by a rich duality. British in upbringing, her ethics are deeply rooted in Middle Eastern heritage. Having type 1 diabetes opened her eyes to failings in the cosmetics industry - gaps that her brands have been quick to fill.

She says: “I was raised in England by a mother who didn’t just tell bedtime stories - she passed down legacies. Tales of powerful, radiant queens, like Elissar, Nefertari and Lalla Bouya, weren’t just history lessons, they were blueprints for strength, resilience and timeless beauty.
“Those stories shaped me. They whispered that beauty is more than appearance; it’s a birthright, a form of power, a cultural thread connecting women across centuries. And yet, as I got older, I noticed how modern beauty often excluded people like me. As someone living with type 1 diabetes, I saw how products hailed as ‘normal’ or ‘luxurious’ would harm my skin. I experienced hyperpigmentation. I experienced sensitivity. I experienced the silence of an industry that didn’t make space for us.
“That silence pushed me to act.”
Inês Cosmetics was never just a business idea - it was a rebellion wrapped in refinement. Inês says it was “a refusal to accept that luxury must come with compromise”.
“I wanted to prove that you could honour your skin, your story and your heritage - all in one product,” she explains. “That belief gave birth to the Arabian Collection, my line of clustered lash extensions inspired by the women who ruled empires with grace, not glitter.
“Each cluster is a tribute. A nod to the boldness of our ancestors. Designed for women with sensitive eyes and conscious minds, these lashes are skin-safe, featherlight, reusable, and free from harmful toxins because I believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your health for your beauty.”
Creating the brand was an ultimate leap of faith for Inês. It entailed weaving cultural storytelling, medical mindfulness and ethical elegance into one offering.
"It’s for the woman who wants to feel powerful in her natural skin. For the woman rewriting her own story, lash by lash. This is more than beauty. This is heritage, science and soul refined into every detail.” Inês points out.

Health and beauty intertwined
When it comes to having an ethos, Inês Cosmetics definitely has one! She explains: “There are a few deeply personal and professional missions that drive everything I do at Inês Cosmetics, and they all stem from one simple truth: beauty should never come at the cost of your health.
“For most of my life, I’ve lived with type 1 diabetes, which has made me acutely aware of how sensitive skin can be to the ingredients we often take for granted in beauty products. I know what it feels like to scan labels, to experience flare-ups after using something ‘mainstream’, and to wonder why clean, effective skin-friendly options are so hard to find - especially for women with melanin-rich, sensitive, or compromised skin. That lived experience shaped my philosophy and became the foundation of my brand.
“At Inês Cosmetics, I’ve made it my mission to create clean, sustainable and health conscious beauty solutions that don’t just look good on the surface but genuinely support your skin’s well-being over time. This is not a marketing trend for me. It’s a personal commitment to ethical formulation, scientific research and community education.
“From our lash collections to our lash care products, every item is crafted to be free from harsh chemicals, is cruelty-free and safe for even the most sensitive skin types. I obsess over our ingredient lists, partner only with responsible suppliers and take the time to test and refine until I’m confident that what we offer is as safe as it is beautiful.”
But beyond the products, there’s a bigger purpose for Inês: to empower women to reclaim control over their beauty choices.
She said: “I want women to feel seen and supported, especially those who feel ignored or underserved by the mainstream industry. Whether you're managing a skin condition, recovering from a reaction, or simply seeking a brand that aligns with your values, Inês Cosmetics is here to serve with transparency, care and integrity.
“This mission isn’t just vital for my brand, it’s the reason my brand exists. Because I believe the future of beauty is not just in aesthetics, but in accountability, education and honouring every woman’s right to feel beautiful without compromising her health.”

InêSKN
At InêSKN, skincare isn’t just a routine - it’s a form of self-respect. Every woman’s skin tells a story, and Inês has made it her mission to listen closely, decode needs and offer tailored guidance that truly transforms.
She says: “My services are designed to support women through every stage of their skin journey whether they’re managing pigmentation, healing post-treatment, or simply learning how to care for their skin in a world full of harsh chemicals and misinformation.”
So, what sets InêSKN apart? Inês tells us that “it’s not about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all advice”.
“Instead, I offer custom skincare consultations rooted in science, empathy and real world experience. Drawing from my specialised training with Skin Masterclass and years of personal research into skin sensitivities - especially those related to diabetes and hormonal imbalances,” she said.
“I approach each client with deep care, integrity and a strong belief in education over marketing hype.”
Women can access these services anytime, anywhere, through www.ineskn.co.uk. Whether it's a virtual 1:1 consultation, a lifestyle-based skin analysis, or product compatibility checks, the goal is always the same: to empower clients to understand their skin and care for it with clarity and confidence.
InêSKN exists under the wider umbrella of Inês Cosmetics and, together, these two branches of Inês’ work reflect one core philosophy: health first, always.
She adds: “I firmly believe that beauty is a byproduct of wellness, a glow that radiates naturally when your skin is nourished, your routines are balanced and your products are safe and purposeful.
"This is more than skincare. It’s a movement towards conscious beauty, and a reminder that when women are given the right knowledge and support, they don’t just look beautiful - they feel it, deeply and unapologetically.”

Inês Cosmetics
Inês Cosmetics was born from a personal journey of healing, discovery and a relentless desire to create beauty without compromise.
Inês says: “After experiencing the damaging effects of traditional cosmetics, particularly on sensitive skin affected by type 1 diabetes, I saw a clear need for products that not only enhance beauty, but also protect it. I created Inês Cosmetics for women like me: conscious, curious and tired of risking their skin health for the sake of beauty.
“Our first product line, the clustered eyelash extensions inspired by the elegance of Arabian queens, was more than a nod to heritage. It was a declaration that beauty can be powerful, luxurious and skin-safe. These lashes aren’t just beautiful, they’re designed with intention: crafted from ultra-lightweight, premium PBT material that respects your natural lash line and prevents long-term damage. Their clustered format allows for customisable volume, making them perfect for daily wear or special occasions, all while being gentle on sensitive eyes.”
Inês is careful to point out that “beauty shouldn’t end at application - it should extend to care and maintenance”.
“That’s why I personally formulated our lash shampoo: a nourishing, chemical-free cleanser designed to preserve the longevity of your extensions without irritating the eye area,” she explains.
“Most lash cleansers on the market are packed with alcohol, synthetic fragrances and foaming agents that disrupt the delicate skin barrier. Mine is free from parabens, sulfates, artificial dyes, and harsh preservatives. Every ingredient was hand-picked after months of research, trials and consultation with skin experts.
“I didn’t want to just put a product on the market, I wanted to create a new category of beauty: one that merges science-backed skincare ethics with artistry and cultural depth. And most importantly, I wanted to prove that you can have luxury without toxins, confidence without compromise.”
Everything created at Inês Cosmetics reflects this vision: from sourcing materials ethically, to producing in small, controlled batches that prioritise quality and safety over mass production.
This isn’t fast beauty; it’s conscious beauty.
If you're someone who’s been searching for high performance, skin-kind beauty that actually aligns with your values, Inês Cosmetics is waiting to serve you.

Beauty safety - always first
At Inês Cosmetics, every detail matters - especially when it comes to what is intended to be placed near one of the most delicate and expressive parts of the face: the eyes. That’s why the brand’s clustered lashes are crafted from premium PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate), a high-performance material known for its lightweight feel (just 0.07mm thick), long-lasting durability and silky-soft texture.
This isn’t just about beauty - it’s about comfort, safety and confidence that lasts all day.
Inês says: “What makes our lashes stand out is the semi-mechanical precision behind each cluster, enhanced by the artistry of a handcrafted finish. It’s where science meets soul - engineered for consistency, yet refined by the human touch.
"But more than the materials or the mechanics, what truly sets Inês Cosmetics apart is the relationship we build with our customers.
“I’ve created this brand for discerning women who are deeply conscious of what they apply to their skin; the kind of women who read ingredient labels, ask hard questions, and expect transparency in every step of the beauty experience. I see and hear them. That’s why open communication is a non-negotiable value for me. Whether it’s responding to questions about our glue formulation, or sharing insights about Inês Cosmetics.”
