Evolve Multi-Peptide 360 Anti-Ageing Cream review

Whether you are a fan of natural skincare products or not, you can’t ignore the wave of organic face creams currently gaining popularity. Evolve Multi-Peptide 360 Anti-Ageing Cream is one of the few to break into the mainstream. It is available from high street health-focused shops as well as major beauty retailers and even department stores. Of course, you will also find this product online.

It’s not a budget face cream, but isn’t vastly expensive either. What’s drawing a crowd is, of course, its green credentials but also what it promises to do. Trademarked eco brand Evolve says it doesn’t just deeply moisturise the skin; it minimises fine lines and wrinkles while supporting the skin’s barrier and improving luminosity. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

Active ingredients include two anti-ageing peptides, Cupuacu butter, Cacay oil, and numerous seed and stem extracts. The cream is made up from 99.3% natural ingredients, of which 35.98% are certified organic. This is obviously a vegan skincare product and cruelty-free.

I got a trial size (30ml) jar of the cream in Holland & Barret’s Beauty Advent Calendar. A full-size (60ml) jar retails at £40. Its packaging screams 'apothecary’ - right down to the label. You get a sense that this might actually deliver above and beyond other creams in the same price bracket, based purely on appearances.

So, what did I think when I used the cream?

First impressions of Evolve Multi-Peptide 360 Anti-Ageing Cream

Before I go any further, I need to address something. If you read online reviews for this product elsewhere, you are going to come across some comments that may put you off the cream before you’ve given it a chance. People say it has an off-putting smell, which has been likened to a ‘wet dog’ odour. To be honest, when I read that, I was intrigued. It made me want to open the jar and take a sniff. Having given into temptation, I can tell you that it does have a mild ‘scent’, however this dissipates when the cream is applied to the face. In fact, for me (and I’m not saying this will be the same for everyone), it took on a faint botanical aroma. Quite lemony.

Now we’ve got that out of the way, let’s dive into how I got on with Evolve Multi-Peptide 360 Anti-Ageing Cream. I'm 58 and hellbent on looking 40 (or younger). I used this product as a day cream over hyaluronic acid and SPF.

First up, it is intensely rich; the type of face cream that I would reach for in the autumn and use through until spring. Off-white in colour, it feels luxurious to the touch and delivers an instant soothing sensation. This is a product that is quickly absorbed but leaves the skin feeling hydrated and ‘bouncy’. I did notice a ‘tightening’ sensation for a while after I applied it.

While I don’t think this is a miracle cream, I do believe it delivers deep moisturisation. Over time, I am quite convinced that I would see some firming benefits too. I can understand why so many people swear by it. This would be a good cream to use over the winter months when the face needs extra hydration to protect against the elements.

Why buy this anti-ageing face cream?

If you are principled about supporting natural brands, Evolve Organic Beauty is definitely one you need to discover. It is concerned about not just what it puts into its products but how every aspect of its business works to support a greener planet. We’re talking about sustainability, carbon footprint and, importantly, ethical production. Founded by Laura Rudoe, the brand has been delivering results-driven organic skincare for 15 years.

I’m quite impressed by Evolve Multi-Peptide 360 Anti-Ageing Cream. Only time will tell if it minimises my fine lines but, so far, I’m enjoying having lovely, moisturised skin. I would definitely consider investing in one of the brand’s serums, which look very impressive.

Would I purchase Evolve Multi-Peptide 360 Anti-Ageing Cream? Probably not at full price, but I’d take a second look if it was on offer. There are cheaper anti-ageing alternatives out there, with very similar promises and eco credentials.
