Just like any other serum, this skincare product is designed to be applied after cleansing and before the use of a moisturising cream and/or make-up primer.

This product is marketed as a 'lightweight serum', suitable for all skin types.
For the purposes of this review, we tested it on a 57-year-old woman with combination skin.
Our findings
Balance Active Formula's serum is more medium-weight than light. While non-greasy, it is slightly sticky - not a bad thing if you are using it under makeup.
Once applied, it does produce a tightening sensation. Although not intense, you can feel it.
The effect is smoother lines and a slightly lifted face. We noticed the results more markedly around the eyes and forehead.
While the serum delivered on all its promises to some extent, the effects were temporary. Because of this, the serum is best-suited to day-time use rather than applied as an overnight treatment.
Our tester used the product every day for two weeks.

Dragon's blood is a natural ingredient, in this case derived from the Croton lechleri tree.
It has been revered for centuries and has multiple uses.
In Peru, the phrase 'dragon's blood' arose from the colour of the tree's sap - dark red.
An organic skincare property, it is an ingredient used by many skincare brands including Nip+Fab and Rodial.
Is this serum worth using?
